What does the Talbot Optimist Club do?

The Talbot Optimist Club is dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" and do our part through community service programs. We work throughout the year raising money or running youth events.  You may be familiar with some of the event around Talbot County.  Some of the events throughout the year are the Christmas Tree lot at the Easton YMCA, Shop with a Cop, and the Annual Golf Tournaments at local golf courses.

What is expected of me?

All members should make an effort to meet at our monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of every month held at a local restaurant in downtown Easton.  We also ask our members to help volunteer with our organization events and fundraisers throughout the year.  We also volunteer with other local community organizations as they help us with our events as well.

You will love seeing and hearing of the success stories as a direct reflection from our efforts throughout the year.  Every March we have our awards banquet where we give our annual donations to the youth groups in Talbot County and to hear some of the stories from the members/kids of those organizations really touches your heart.  We are making a direct impact in Talbot County youth organizations.

Once a member you will be able to sponsor youth groups near and dear to your heart. We are always looking at sponsoring new upcoming organizations!
