Talbot Optimist to Sponsor Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Harbourtowne Resort & Country Club

The Talbot Optimist Club will be sponsoring their Annual Golf Tournament to be held at the Harbourtowne Country Club on Friday, May 8, 2015.  “We are very excited to sponsor this annual event,” said John Mlynarski, PGA Professional of the Harbourtowne Country Club.  “Money raised from this event helps the Talbot Optimist provide funding to youth sponsored events in Talbot County.”

Golfer registration starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  Pricing is available for individual golfers or foursomes.  Player fees include golf, tee gift, prizes and on course refreshments.  The event will also feature a silent auction.    Dinner and awards will conclude the event at 6:00 p.m. that evening.

Designed and built by the legendary golf course architect Pete Dye, playing to a par 70, the Harbourtowne Golf Course has many Pete Dye trademarks. Narrow fairways with target landing areas, carefully placed mounds in the rough, deep bunkers, high grass bunkers, neat little ponds, walls of railroad ties, and small protected greens are just a few of the highlights of this extraordinary course.  The golf course provides a great test of skills for players of all levels.
